Universities, R&D Groups and Academic Networks

ICSOFT is a unique forum for universities, research groups and research projects to present their research and scientific results, be it by presenting a paper, hosting a tutorial or instructional course or demonstrating its research products in demo sessions, by contributing towards panels and discussions in the event's field of interest or by presenting their project, be it by setting up an exhibition booth, by being profiled in the event's web presence or printed materials or by suggesting keynote speakers or specific thematic sessions.

Special conditions are also available for Research Projects which wish to hold meetings at INSTICC events.

CLAMPIT


-     CLAMPIT project aims to develop a high-end decision supporting system that helps metalworking SMEs carrying out welding work to increase their efficiency by automatizing clamping design calculations. The application assists its users to find the optimum fixture design containing optimal clamping points and forces. In addition it includes a fast and efficient distortion prediction module incorporating LSND technology.

STEPMAN


STEPMAN project aims to facilitate bidirectional communication throughout the CAx chain used by SMEs within SME association groups. This would allow information about products, machines and other production resources to be conveyed with a high level of integrity to enable an information-rich environment for the manufacturing activity.

University of Cagliari


The University of Cagliari was founded in 1606 along the lines of the old Spanish Universities of Salamanca, Valladolid and Léridaand. It is a public state University which has about 31,102 enrolled students and over 1,000  teaching staff. Besides that, about 200 visting professors come to the University of Cagliari yearly. At the moment it is one of the largest enterprises in the Region of Sardinia, thanks to its international policy, studies and its numerous agreements with prestigious universities in Europe and around the world.

Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DIEE) of University of Cagliari


The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DIEE) of University of Cagliari is a higher education and research organization. It manages and coordinates courses at B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. level as well as reserach activities in the field of biomedical, electrical, electronic, energy and telecommunication engineering.

The University of Haute-Alsace (UHA)


The University of Haute-Alsace (UHA, Université de Haute-Alsace) is an academic institution devoted to research and student education, welcoming some 8000 students on its two campuses: Mulhouse (6500 students) and Colmar (1500 students).

Arrowhead


Arrowhead is addressing efficiency and flexibility at the global scale by means of collaborative automation for five application verticals. That means production (manufacturing, process, energy), smart buildings and infrastructures, electro-mobility and virtual market of energy. Our proposal would be to present our involvement in the Virtual Market of Energy and the interaction with the Arrowhead services, the core of the project. DataPipe


DataPipe is a research project funded by the Eurostars Program of the European Commission. DataPipe aims to develop a platform, toolkit and pipeline for the intelligent, rule-based selection, management, analysis, publishing and display of heterogeneous multimodal data in the oil and gas sector. It will create a flexible system to provide web-based visualization and decision support based on the analysis of extremely large datasets. The platform will be extensible to big data mining, analysis and display in a wide range of industrial and commercial sectors.
